Preventing violence through creating safer schools & communities

Help & Shelter has been successful in its application to the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women for a 3 year USD106,291 project to build consensus, engagements and competencies within a community-based framework for addressing and preventing gender-based and sexual violence and child abuse and other forms of exploitation in communities and schools. Strategies will include improving service delivery and strengthening institutional response in the communities of Beterverwagting and Triumph, East Coast of Demerara and the aim is to reach 1,290 beneficiaries (480 primary and 810 secondary) through the project.
