A couple who had attended 5 joint counselling sessions expressed gratitude to the counsellor and said that their relationship has mended and the children are all happy.

17yr teenager was referred to H&S for assistance on behalf of another NGO. The 17 yr. old was given a warrant to serve on her partner for child maintenance.

Client’s partner neglected her for five years, took the money from out of their joint savings account, migrated to Suriname and started a new family. During those years client’s partner never supported her, and whenever she tried to contact him he would ignores her telephone calls.

Monika, a resident of one of the Caribbean islands resident in Guyana indicated that had it not been for contacting the H & S hotline for help due to domestic abuse, would never had believed there were actually a place as such that help person in finding self, knowing their worth ,and helping

Carmen was experiencing domestic abuse during her pregnancy in the worst forms possible, she was isolated in her partner’s home, almost restricted to her bedroom, where she spent many days without having anything substantial to eat.
